William Fletcher (2/7/1824 - 3/2/1883) was born in Scotland and immigrated to New York in 1829.  He married Robert and Helen's third daughter Catherine, circa 1845.  William and his brother Andrew were the owners of W. & A. Fletcher Company in Hoboken, NJ, a national leader in the construction of steamboats and steam engines.  The company later became known as the Bethlehem Steel Company Shipyard.
