Homeowner Disposal Area

The Sanitation Department Homeowner Disposal Area is located at 175 Arlington Avenue.  We are open for dumping, Monday through Friday from 7am - 2pm except for observed Village Holidays.  All residents must have proof of residency such as a driver's license, or tax bill.

Every contractor, landscaper and village resident wishing to dispose of construction material at our facility will be required to pay the appropriate disposal fee for the type of material being discarded.

The following exceptions apply to Valley Stream Residents with proof of residency who are NOT contractors or landscapers.

1. Any resident wishing to dump small amount of construction material.
2. Any resident wishing to dump material, which our trucks would be required to pick up on an everyday basis.
3. Any resident wishing to dump a small amount of agriculture material.

The above exceptions are subject for approval by the Sanitation Supervisor.

Driver's License with photo I.D. must be checked by a Village Employee from any person claiming to be a Village Resident who falls into one of the three exceptions listed above. If a person claims to be a village resident and cannot produce proof of residency, he or she would be required to pay the appropriate fees.
