Special Pick Up Items

To arrange for a special pick up of metal and bulk items, such as furniture, mattresses, etc. can be made by calling (516) 825-8108. There is a 5 item limit per household for any scheduled pick up. Always call the Sanitation office before placing any items out at the curb. Failure to do so may result in a summons. Items may be placed at the curb no earlier than 6pm the evening prior to your scheduled pick up. Special pick up is not for house cleanouts.

SPECIAL PICK UP ITEMS INCLUDES BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

• Mattress                                Metal Pipes (3 - 4 ft lengths)
• Box Spring                            Snow Blowers
• Rugs (cut & tied)                  Lawn Mowers
• Couches                               Stoves
• Doors                                    Washing Machines
• Desks                                    File Cabinets
• Tables                                   Hot Water Heater
• Chairs                                    * Refrigerators
• Furniture                               ** Barbeque (no tanks)
• TVs
• Computers, monitors, keyboards
• DVD players, game consoles

 

* New York State Law requires that refrigerator doors MUST be removed*

**We DO NOT take propane tanks, you should return them to locations that fill them**
