Welcome to the Inc. Village of Valley Stream Building Department. We oversee the examination and permit issuance of all types of construction and land improvement projects of residential and commercial properties within the Inc. Village of Valley Stream. We examine and enforce compliance with: New York State Building and Fire codes, and The Code Of The Village Of Valley Stream. Our main goals are: to promote the safety, health, and general welfare of the public, provide exceptional service for the people we serve, and to educate the public of the different types of building and zoning codes that apply to their projects.
All of our required permit applications and documentation are available online. Our knowledgeable and friendly staff are here to answer any questions you may have regarding the permit application process; as well as assist with all inquiries regarding the Village licensing of plumbers and electricians.
